Dap Talk Friday is a short, brief episode that will be posted on Friday's in which Anthony D'Apolito III, Creator of Dream BIG & Co, talks about a variety of topics. It is concise and it gets to the grit of the message.
"In this episode, we discuss the importance and invaluable opportunity of being lost and unsure in life. Whether you don't have a set in stone purpose YET, whether you're veering from it, or your mind is a completely blank slate, it's okay. To be lost is to be found again. As the great Oprah Winfrey says, “We lose ourselves to find ourselves again.”
It's the once heavily induced drug addict or alcoholic that finds renewal through recovery.
It's the legendary free climber Tommy Caldwell who reaches the pinnacle of his own success in climbing the dawn wall of El Capitan after a divorce left him emotionally stricken.
It's you battling your own insecurities, doubts, fears, and worries that finds rejuvenation after this podcast and much personal action.
In order to be sure again, we must first be unsure. In order to find ourselves, we must first be lost.
Strip yourself from the norm of the negative connotation of the unknown. Rather have the fascination and curiosity of an explorer. Venture through being unsure with a true fascination because not only do we learn the most through that, but we truly come out of the other end of this dark tunnel with vigor, vivacity, and clarity in hand.
So, whatever stage you are at in this life and whatever realm of difficulty you find yourself trodding through, rest assured that you will be okay. Start by applying the best remedy of all: silence. Come to grips with where you are at. Acknowledge all that you feel and all the emotions that boil to the surface. Dig a little deeper. Once you fully embrace that you are unsure, you can take the progression to be sure of all you have to give in this life."
