Throwback: M.I.S.S. Talks reminisce on good music being the soundtrack of our lives, Old School, 80's-90's, Hip Hop and Vinyl Records.
This is a laid back episode so be prepared to laugh as Angel & Walter LaRaye talk about how music has influence their lives. The special feeling and atmosphere of how certain music has taken Angel to a certain place. Waking up on Saturday mornings, cleaning house and listening to good music. Allowing your imagination to be taken to a certain place.
Angel remembers the first time he heard hip hop, Slick Rick and Doug-E-Fresh - "The Show". Walter expresses the respect of the era with holding the Vinyl records in his hands and being careful not to scratch the records. Remembering listening to Shirley Murdocks record, "Husband".
Angel expresses how hip hop and r&b goes hand and hand. How New Edition represented the youth but blended the eras of The Temptations. Walter LaRaye is convinced that Michael Jackson is still the KING. Encouraging the youngsters to google "Motown 25 - Michael Jackson performing "Billie Jean".
In no short of words, Michael Jackson was larger than life and he was magical. The dance moves has been emulated throughout generations. MJ is the best and will always be ICONIC.
