David Wakeen;
David Wakeen was born in Lowell, Massachusetts, home of America’s Industrial Revolution. He was raised in the adjacent town of Tewksbury. In 1984 he graduated Merrimack College with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a concentration in economics. He attended one semester of graduate school studying advanced math and computer science. After becoming frustrated with the limitations of the university system he spent decades independently studying a vast array of diversified subjects including alternative energy, aquaculture, economics, finance, history, insurance, international treaties, law, medicine, meteorology, music, politics, and taxes. David was a member of the Massachusetts Inventors Association and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of Management’s Entrepreneurs Association where he finished second in the annual business development competition. In 1999 he worked as a strategic adviser for the country of Nicaragua after hurricane Mitch took the lives of 3,300 people and devastated a large portion of the country’s infrastructure. Then in September of 2001 he had the honor to work as a Ground Zero volunteer running a large portion of the supply lines necessary to keep the massive rescue operation flowing smoothly. David is an insurance specialist in the oil and gas industry and works as an independent insurance adjuster helping victims of hurricanes and other major disasters. He is also an author, business, internet, and personal consultant, as well as an entrepreneur, inventor, motivational speaker, musician, and philosopher.
In 2016 he founded Wakeen Labs where he builds new products and technologies that enhance the world and provide for a better environment. He has written a book called 9/11 and the world today.
JJ McGuigan;
JJ McGuigan caught the attention of radio programmers and music journalists with “Letter,” the debut single from his EP, Dissociative. “Letter” received both critical praise and airplay chart success, reaching the New Music Weekly country chart Top 80 and the SortHits.com Christian Song chart Top 10. The song also earned McGuigan an Akademia Award for Best Alternative Song in January 2017. Indie-Spoonful.com said, “The lyrics to this song (“Letter), and every song on the EP, are dripping with insight. This song is like a prayer and McGuigan sounds like an angel.” Now, McGuigan returns with a new single and lyric video for “Home,” the opening track on Dissociative. Like “Letter,” “Home” was written by McGuigan and features lead vocals by Garrett Crow. Former Strike Magazine editor and Guardian Liberty Voice writer, Brett David Stewart says about “Home:” “There’s an ethereal quality to the writing that is particularly lovely; it feels honest and true.” Jamsphere Magazine raves: “Not many other singer-songwriters out there put more soul, grit, and heart into their music than McGuigan.”
JJ McGuigan is a VH1 Save The Music Songwriting Contest Finalist, award-winning singer-songwriter, guitarist, and mental health advocate. A drummer since age 13, McGuigan later picked up the guitar and began writing songs at age 20. He attended Newman University and renowned recording school, Full Sail University. Songwriting has now become JJ’s main focus and passion, with an emphasis on lyrical creation. McGuigan has appeared on countless radio shows and his music has been heard on hundreds of stations around the world. After a brief stint in Austin, Texas, he has returned to his hometown of Wichita.
