Jeremy Bialek has coached basketball for a quarter century. He is currently in his second season as the Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach at NAIA member Trinity Christian College. In his first season, Coach Bialek helped the Trolls double their conference win total, achieve the second most wins in the last nine campaigns, finish 24th in the nation for three-point makes per game (9.9), and produce the second best assist-to-turnover ratio in program history since the NAIA started tracking that stat. He was also instrumental in developing transfer sophomore James Pennington into an NCCAA All-Region selection.
Before coming to Trinity, Coach Bialek spent 18 seasons as the Varsity Head Coach at Indianapolis Homeschool. During his tenure with the Wildcats his teams compiled 14 straight winning seasons and advanced to seven National Tournament Final Fours. At the close of his final season with the Cats Coach Bialek had won 440 games, which stood 15th in career wins amongst all active boys high school coaches in Indiana. He won the 2019 NCHBC National Championship, two NCHBC Midwest Regional crowns, six ICBA state titles (twice as many state titles as any other coach in the history of the Indiana Christian Basketball Association state tournament), and seven conference championships (winning the last five in-a-row). His squads have also been listed at the top of the nation’s high schools in rankings/stats. In 2018-2019 his Cats ended the season ranked in the CBS Sports MaxPreps National Top 250 and as #8 in Indiana. Coach Bialek’s 2017-2018 team finished the season as the second best three-point shooting high school team in the nation – making 9.8 per game. The 2014-2015 squad finished 12th in team scoring among all high schools in America (averaging 85.5 points per game). Bialek’s coaching career has produced an NCHBC Maravich Award winner (National Player of the Year), an NCHBC National Defensive Player of the Year, 14 NCHBC All-Americans, and 20 players who went on to play in college (four at NCAA Division I schools, including one NBA player and one overseas pro).
Coach Bialek began his career at Perry Meridian High School (Indianapolis, IN) as a varsity assistant from 1995-2000. In his five campaigns the Falcons won a sectional title and finished as Marion County runners-up twice. Jeremy attended high school at Christian Brothers Academy (Syracuse, NY), earning varsity letters in basketball, cross-country, and track. He played basketball under New York State Hall of Fame Coach Buddy Wleklinski where he was part of CBA’s 1991 Sectional title. He then earned his BS in Telecommunication Arts from Butler University in 1996 and an MS in Media Management from the Syracuse University S.I. Newhouse School of Communications in 2001.
Jeremy is the son of former Utica College men’s basketball coach Joseph Bialek, is married to Julie, and lives in Indianapolis with their 9 kids (Ali, Jair, JD, Jonah, Annalisa, Jordan, Jacob, Judah, and Josiah).
